Hecht-Albert Global Health Pilot Innovation Award for Junior Faculty

In 2016, GHLI established the Hecht-Albert Pilot Innovation Award for Junior Faculty. The award is granted to junior faculty who hope to advance new research and educational projects in global health. This year’s research topics include  health communications interventions for pregnant women in American Samoa, culturally-appropriate guides for early childhood development in Ghana, factors that influence decision-making for HIV prevention services in South Africa, trauma and resuscitation training for surgical residents in Uganda, and the burden of non-communicable diseases and life-style risk factors in Kenya.
